Gallery Delaive is thrilled to announce its participation in ART TAIPEI 2024.

The last participation of Gallery Delaive at the fair was in 2008 when Ayako Rokkaku (b. 1982) stole the show with a live painting performance. Her characteristic hand-painting process drew large crowds at the booth which combined and compared Rokkaku’s work with that of world renowned and equally colorful Chinese-American painter Walasse Ting (1929 – 2010).

This year, Gallery Delaive proudly presents a selection of Rokkaku’s most compelling cardboards and canvases from throughout her illustrious career and once again pairs them with some awe-inspiring Walasse Ting’ works from his period in Amsterdam in the 1980s, in which he became close friends with Nico Delaive.

Visitors will have the opportunity to witness the evolution since 2008 of Rokkaku’s distinctive style and of her signature girl figures and bold backgrounds. The dialogue at between the work of Rokkaku and Ting at Art Taipei 2024 will form a full circle moment in Gallery Delaive’s history.

In addition, Gallery Delaive will showcase captivating pieces by other renowned artists, including Sam Francis, Peter Anton, and Takashi Murakami.
